- 1 lb fresh green beans or 2 cans of string beans, no salt added
- Salt
- 3-4 tbsp. flour
- 2-3 cups milk
- 1/2 pint sour cream
- 1/4 cup vinegar (white wine works best)
- 8 cups of water
- Directions
- Cook beans in salted water.
- Mix flour with small amount of cooking water until smooth, then add milk and sour cream to flour mixture. Mix well.
- When beans are cooked, pour cream mixture over beans and add the vinegar.
- Serve hot.
